Andy and the Team came and carried out a complete chimney refurb on our Victorian house along with a garage roof replacement. Unusually for us they weren’t a recommendation from someone we know, but the 5* google reviews sold it to us. The team of guys didn’t disappoint, they were extremely polite, friendly, efficient and very hard working. They were all very polite and considerate to our neighbours which is extremely important to us if we are ever having work done. They arrived on the dot each day and were straight to work, communicating and keeping us updated with the progress as they went along. They spent alot of time at the end ensuring they cleaned up - which we really appreciated. The roof replacement looks great and the Chimney looks great- thank you very much! ~ James B

We recently moved home, and initially needed a roof survey to be completed on the new property we were buying as the survey had identified a few issues. We picked Cardiff and Vale roofing after a few friends had recommended them. Having spoken with Andy on the phone, he arranged to visit the property and completed a comprehensive inspection of the roof using a drone, and produced a detailed report. Fast forward a couple of months and we have now moved into the property and Andy and his team have just completed the required repairs to the roof on time (and the price was as quoted). Finally, the communication was excellent all the way through and we are really happy with the work that has been completed. I can’t thank Andy , Shaun and Tom enough for the amazing job they did on my roof !! They came out at very short notice , quickly identified the problem, and got it fixed straight away. They put a new roof on for me & all done so efficiently and professionally! Nothing was too much trouble for them , they were incredibly tidy and organised throughout the whole job . Cardiff and Vale Roofing have been excellent. The inquiry and quotation process worked well. Their communication has been really good from scheduling queries to answering my questions when on site. All the team have been happy to explain what they are doing, why they are doing it and how its being done. We always knew at the end of the day where they were up to and any potential issues that might arise overnight (none did despite some heavy rain at times!) they were amazingly tidy workers and did great job of clearing up at the end of each day and the end of the job.. Really pleased with the work they have done looks good and we have no reason to believe it won't be fully effective! Have recommended them to a friend already. ~ Stephen B

Andy and his employees provided an outstanding service when repointing our chimney. They went over, above and beyond and completed the job in one day. Andy ensured that our gutters were also cleaned without us requesting it and at no extra charge. We were kept informed of the process throughout the day by Andy and his team, whilst checking that we were happy with the proceedings. The whole team were polite and courteous showing respect for our property throughout the procedure and ensured both our property and both adjoining properties were cleared of any fallen debris. They even hosed down the chimney and roof!! I cannot praise Andy and his team enough for such an incredible professional service and would have no hesitation in recommending their services to others. We have a smokeless coal fire and need a clean chimney. Jackdaws had nested in the chimney pot, over the Spring and Summer,, blocking it. When our chimney sweep cleared it, he recommended that we had a cowl fitted to the pot, to prevent future birds' nests and advised us to have a particular type of cowl. My wife asked, on a Facebook group, if there were any roofers who could do this. Andy (Roberts) of Cardiff and Vale Roofing LTD responded and in an extremely timely manner came to the house, looked at what the job entailed and gave a very reasonable quote. A few days after, a team, who were pleasant and efficient, came to do the work and fitted the cowl. we wanted. I have no hesitation in recommending Cardiff and Vale Roofing LTD as we found them to be honest, diligent, prompt and reasonably priced. It has been a pleasure to deal with them. ~ W S

Cardiff and Vale Roofing recently carried out work on our roof and chimney to remedy a leak. Andy, the owner, is very personable and courteous and patiently explained in layman's terms precisely what needed to be done to prevent future problems. The work was carried out by Gareth and his colleagues who were polite, hard working and cleared away all debris before departing. Gareth also showed us photographs of the work done which he had taken on his mobile phone. In short, the whole team were professional and efficient and communication with Andy was excellent from start to finish. We have recently had our roof retiled and two velux windows installed by Cardiff & Vale Roofing Ltd. Very happy with the service provided, Andy responded quickly to our request for a quote and arrived on time. Andy did a thorough survey, even using a drone, and confirmed the work required and sent the formal quote soon after. After agreeing to the price the works were able to start within 6 weeks. There was a slight delay due to the weather but this was all communicated clearly. Once started, Andy and his boys worked tirelessly and got the job done to a high standard, quickly and with minimum disruption. Andy and his team are simply incredible! The service they provide from start to finish is outstanding. We had a serious repair needed which involved removal of a substantial amount of ivy before they even started on the roof. Then the work began with complete roof removal, leading to ceiling joist replacements throughout the entire top floor, new rafters, felt batons and tiling, new gutters, chimney repair and all the trimmings. The work was top quality and completed in under three weeks despite some terrible weather. Andy and the team were up there with one of the best I've ever dealt with. Ongoing problems with water ingress to our extension. Andy responded immediately. Came out and identified the problem. So many before him had made false promises. Fast with the quote. No additional charges. What was quoted was the price from the off so no surprises. From Donna in the office to the team that Andy sent in to completely re-do our roof. all were GREAT! We were given dates for when the work was due to commence. We were let know immediately of dates changes (due to the weather) and I didn't have to chase them. Once the team arrived for the first days work they didn't stop until it was complete. I've had quite a significant amount of tradesmen over the past few years and without doubt the most professional outfit i've had the pleasure of dealing with. Our second time using Cardiff and Vale after they reduced the height of our chimney and fixed some small issues. This time, a full roof replacement with the addition of some velux windows. The team were incredible, working in some very hot conditions to get the job done. They communicated excellently, keeping me up to date with progress and and issues that arose as the work progressed, ensuring they gave me a range of options to fix these. This included checking in to see if we'd had any water ingress after the hot weather broke and the rain came, but before the job was complete. Thanks to the quality of the work, we hadn't! As I said in a previous review of the company, the standard of the work is incredible, and the Cardiff and Vale Roofing team left the site immaculate. Andy assessed the roof with the aid of his drone. He quoted a fair price for replacing my pitched roof as well as a flat roof. The work started promptly and the team were all great, working hard through blistering heat. I was really impressed with the overall quality of workmanship, lovely team and Andy’s determination to ensure everything was completed to my satisfaction. I couldn’t be happier with the work undertaken by Cardiff and Vale roofing, replacing my whole roof, gutters and down pipes. Everyone arrived at 8am each day and were really friendly, cleaning up any debris before leaving for the day. Gareth made sure to update me on what the plan was for the day before work started and kept me up to date with timelines for completion. Some minor damage was sustained which was unavoidable but Gareth made sure to remedy that before the work was completed. Would recommend. ~ Katie W

The comitment to the job was evident, working through poor conditions when other firms working nearby had down tools. This meant that despite the poor conditions that there was very little water ingress. Their representative Andy was easy to deal with and very helpful both during the quotation stage , arranging scaffolding and the execution of the works. We recently had our roof replaced by Andy and his team and it looks great. Andy sent a formal quote soon after he'd been to look at the roof and was able to start the job within about 6 weeks. There were a few delays once work had started due mostly to the weather but Andy kept us well informed about when his team would and wouldn't be coming to work on the roof. Recently had a roof replacement carried out by Cardiff and Vale Roofing. Andy provided a prompt, competitive quote and also dropped off some samples to help with the decision. He kept me well informed throughout the process and was always quick to respond to any queries I had. Andy turned up to do a quote when he said he would. He used a drone to take video of the entire roof and could then identify the problems that were causing some leaks on my mum’s roof. The work was carried out by a professional team. Original timescale was 3 days, job was completed in 2 days. My mum was very happy with the work Cardiff & Vale roofing did. After my first meeting with Andy i found him to have a very professional approach when going through the roof options, I decided to have a full roof replacement and the full detailed quote was received within days.
